People are calling Ford’s 2010 Edge the ultimate crossover.
Its sculpted body, solid athletic stance and sharp interior definitely make the Edge easy on the eyes, but the real perks are under the hood.
The 3.5-liter Duratec V6 engine, which delivers 265 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque offers 17 city/23 hwy mpg.
The Edge received a 2009 top safety pick rating from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety. Safety features include a reinforced steel cage, six standard air bags, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ and a Personal Safety System™.
Luxury and comfort are also increased with a dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, SYNC® voice-activated communications, and SIRIUS® Satellite Radio.
The 2010 Edge is offered in four different trims: SE, SEL, Limited and Sport.

In celebration of Labor Day, the editors of Kelley Blue Book have named 10 Great Cars for 10 Different Jobs. The list pairs new vehicles to 10 specific jobs, ranging from bounty hunter to long-haul salesman.

A full-size pickup is the obvious choice for construction-type jobs, but which one? Earlier this summer, we posted a blog on the American debut of the Ford Transit Connect – a spacious, fuel-efficient new vehicle, designed to meet the needs of small business owners.
Well…the numbers are in. The first full month of sales for the 2010 Ford Transit Connect tops 2,000 units! Vehicles are selling in fewer than 10 days of arriving on dealer lots.
Small business owners are acting quickly to put Transit Connect to work. “Anxious Transit Connect customers are buying up vehicles in stock, regardless of trim level or equipment,” said Butch Gosline, commercial business manager for Ford’s Mid-Atlantic region. “They want a Transit Connect, and they want it working for them right away.”
Three recent surveys of small business owners show entrepreneurs are seeing positive marketplace signals. Carefully moving forward, business owners are cautiously finding new, efficient solutions for their growing-business needs. “We see rising optimism among small business owners and strong demand for arriving Transit Connect vehicles among this group as reflections of an encouraging economic uptick,” said Len Deluca, director, Ford Commercial Truck Sales and Marketing.
The Transit Connect is a versatile and fuel-efficient business tool, with an EPA rating of 22 mpg city/25 highway and a payload capacity of a full-size half-ton pickup truck.
